The setup: The president-elect has a YouTube channel and now, so does Monty Python. Really, is there anything else YouTube could possibly need? Especially because the Monty Python channel is all about payback. The famous troupe of comedians contends YouTubers have been ripping Monty Python off for three years and counting, so they plan to get even for all those “crap” copies on the video-sharing site by uploading their best clips in high quality. Take that, pirates!

The source: Monty Python launched its YouTube channel in November. The Monty Python videos come with links to purchase the comedy group’s videos and DVDs on sites such as Amazon, one of YouTube’s efforts to monetize its vast site.

The hits: The video arrived on YouTube Nov. 14 and had racked up 1.3 million views by Nov. 25. n
